NEBGH that is Northeast Business Group on Health has awarded Aetna the 2011 eValue8 performance award for the New York-metropolitan area. Aetna is the only health insurance in New York-metropolitan area to earn this distinction.
Present and CEO of Northeast Business Group on Health, Laurel Pickering commented, "Today more than ever, employers are searching for ways to improve employee health, reduce absenteeism and get more for their healthcare dollar.

The eValue8 survey is a rigorous assessment of health plans, and this year Aetna came out on top in the region." The National Business Coalition on Health developed the eValue8 survey so that people can identify the best health plan having highest levels of quality and value. eValue8 ranks plans in seven categories: Plan profile, provider measurement, consumer engagement, pharmaceutical management, prevention and health promotion, behavioral health and chronic disease management.
Aetna has been ranked No. 1 in the New York City market in all categories.
