How easy is it to get an online quote? Here we evaluate how insurance quotes are given and the time it takes to get a quote..

The quote tool has a very basic form which produces a travel insurance quote.  The benefits are all listed but cannot be changed in terms of selection or level.  Also there is no comparison available, just one quote.

You can purchase the quote online if you are happy with it.  There is also encouragement to donate to good causes at the time of purchase.

The quote tool on this site is not as flexible as on other sites.

Just what can I insure here? This parameter evaluates the range of travel insurance policies on offer at this site..

The standard cover is quite comprehensive and covers all the basics; trip cancellation, medical and dental bills, accident and baggage loss. There are also additional policies for thrill seekers - adventure cover or snowboarding and skiing.

This site is a great example of what can be done with imagination and the engagement of site visitors.

The use of photos, videos, story telling in combination with articles, news and insurance comparison makes it a great hub of activity and a really happening site.

How interactive is this site? Is there a Facebook Group? Twitter? RSS feeds? Linked In? Forum? We found out..
RSS, Facebook, Twitter and YouTube. They also have the facility for viewers to comment on articles. There is also a travel blog. This site was one of the most sociable of those reviewed in this category.

This is one area the site is deficient in.  Although they boast competitive rates they don’t seem to do specials or show their prices against other similar policies.

In addition the quotation tool lacks the ability to compare their product against others.

The site includes travelers’ stories, photos, journals, podcasts and videos.  These can be filtered by country, most viewed, most commented upon etc.  A great, interactive use of multimedia.
