Beautiful Destinations

There is a travel alerts page which is fairly up to date but it is hard to spot this as it is right at the top of the site, outside of the main navigation system. You can however sign up for a travel advice and alerts email.

Other content includes a Travel Insurance 101 – which is a handy and helpful guide to international insurance. There is also a travel insurance company review section with comprehensive data about the products and services available as well as customer comments, which sometimes are in stark contrast to the review!

They also link in to other travel sites, guides and blogs. This site contains some interesting content in its own right and also acts as a useful sign poster.

The site discusses the main elements of travel insurance and helps visitors to understand how to identify the best package to suit their needs. There are also pages looking at different types of trips and the insurance elements that are recommended for these.

Although Travel Insurance Review inform and refer, they do not offer or promote any packages of their own.

They signpost customers to squaremouth.com’s quotation tool. They also explain how to use this tool to maximum effect.

Why is it different to other insurance sites? We graded on originality and innovation..

Overall this site has some nice features. We liked the travel insurance reviews which included the customer’s voice, as well as all the background advice on purchasing the best plans.

It uses referral as a way to fill in its gaps, such as the third party quotation tool.

Overall it is worth a visit and although not the best designed site we’ve been to, it would certainly serve to inform and save time for those planning trips.

How interactive is this site? Is there a Facebook Group? Twitter? RSS feeds? Linked In? Forum? We found out..

The site contains a forum but unfortunately this is not well used and does not contain many used posts. It is a great function and we hope they give it a fair chance and look at how they can promote it and generate more traffic.

Travel Insurance Review try hard to engage their viewers. They have a travel blog and articles which can be commented upon as well as a review section. This encourages comments and feedback from those who have had experience of using the travel insurance companies reviewed.
