Wow! Out of all the sites we visited it is standard to receive online insurance quotes from up to 3 different companies. This UK site, within a minute of entering our details, obtained 43 quotes for us!

These were all displayed in a helpful grid in price order. We were then given the facility to pick up to five companies to see a more in-depth comparison.

This site blew our mind with the quantity of information they provide and really stand out from the crowd with the immediacy and depth of information offered.

How easy is it to navigate around the site? We tried and tested it out and graded..

There are sites that have better navigation systems in place but this one does the job in hand without too much fuss or confusion. It does, however, lack the ever-useful search box.

Just what can I compare here? This parameter evaluates the range of insurance policy comparisons on offer at this site..

Initially it looks as though this site offers just car and home insurance. However, on closer inspection there is a decent range of insurance categories to choose from including pet, motorbike and dental. You can also obtain information on car breakdown cover.

There is a lot to this site but the homepage doesn’t really do it justice; if you fail to rest your cursor on the insurance tab at the top of the page you will not discover the secret pull down menu.

Quality of the information. Here we look at the quality of the insurance information and articles on the website. Does the content give you a good breakdown about the cover? Is the language easy to follow?.

The site contains guides and articles. You can get hold of car reviews (categorized by model), roadside rescue guides and more.

They also have a videos section with content across a range of online insurance topics, albeit a little narrow. Some nice touches.

Why is it different to other insurance sites? We graded on originality and innovation..

Moneysupermaket.com is much more than meets the eye but the home page and ‘hidden’ navigation fail to promote it adequately.

The design and navigation need to be improved in order to draw visitors to the full range of services on offer.

The insurance quotes and information pages are up with the best but the site itself, although colorful and nicely presented, lets the side down.

There is no privacy policy stated on the home page. It is on the site, although you need to trawl about a bit to find it. This is yet another of their navigational quirks that need fixing up.

The policy itself confirms that the site is VeriSign accredited for its security. There is also an email and phone number for any queries about the policy. All emails sent by moneysupermarket.com have an unsubscribe option.

Can you contact the site with queries? This grades the email support, live chat and telephone contacts available to users..

There is an email form that aims for a response within two days but states that during busy times it may be even longer. This seems a little lengthy to us in these days of instant gratification. There is no telephone support number listed.
