The quote tool asks for your zip code and then highlights a few companies that operate in your area.  You need to visit each of these to obtain your online insurance quote.

It helps narrow down the search a bit but others provide a far more comprehensive service.

How easy is it to navigate around the site? We tried and tested it out and graded..

The navigation tool is good. Each insurance area contains sub categories an online quotation tool and articles tailored to the particular category to compare insurance easily.

The lack of an online search box lets the site down though.

Just what can I compare here? This parameter evaluates the range of insurance policy comparisons on offer at this site..
Categories include auto, home, health, life and long term care. All the big players seem to be affiliated to this site so there will be a good range of plans on offer.

Quality of the information. Here we look at the quality of the insurance information and articles on the website. Does the content give you a good breakdown about the cover? Is the language easy to follow?.

Each insurance category includes a wealth of articles and features, from the basics through to hints and tips.

These are well written and informative.  All the articles are also listed centrally under the ‘Insurance Info’ tab, which could probably do with renaming to clarify the content.

Why is it different to other insurance sites? We graded on originality and innovation..

The range of information on this site is quite good but the quotation tool does the minimum.

To keep up with the big boys this site needs to improve its ability to offer more immediate, less protracted online insurance quotes.

Is this site safe? Does the site protect my personal information? Is the privacy policy easy to find? Will this site bombard me with emails or share my details with other providers? Is this site recommended or verified by a regulator?.
Whilst personal information is shared with care, using encryption technology, they are a little too liberal with their use of personal data for our liking.  You need to opt out if you don’t want to be hassled by third party marketing.
