Insurance Quotes has a central online form but once completed you are given a list of companies and told that local agents will contact you ‘in a few minutes’ to go over the quotes.

On the one hand the central form filling gives agents all the details they need to provide advice; reducing the information you would need to give each one if you were to shop by phone.  On the other hand, you get contacted automatically without any prompt to delay or deter this.

We liked the time saving element of this site but felt there should be more options for the customer to regain some control of the process and perhaps reduce the number of agents getting in touch or at the very least, arranging a convenient time for calls.

How easy is it to navigate around the site? We tried and tested it out and graded..
The site is split into insurance areas.  Within each category there is information, articles and an online quotation tool.  Simple, easy and effective.

Just what can I compare here? This parameter evaluates the range of insurance policy comparisons on offer at this site..

The areas covered include health, home, auto and life. The site does not list the various types of insurance under each category; for example we are unclear if the auto section includes boats or if the home section includes rentals.

A little more detail would be welcome to encourage visitors that what they are looking for is on offer.

Quality of the information. Here we look at the quality of the insurance information and articles on the website. Does the content give you a good breakdown about the cover? Is the language easy to follow?.

The site includes a big catalogue of articles within its Resources section; some of these are categorized within sections, others are simply listed.

The articles are well written and informative but do need better organization within this section so that viewers can find relevant information to suit their need.

Luckily, the articles are duplicated within each relevant insurance category, so this is the best way to locate pertinent articles.

The central online form is a great feature of this site and the fact that it is so proactive will be welcomed by many.

In terms of site content and features, this site does a decent job.  Aside from a few organizational issues and a lack of graphics/color, it stands up well against other sites that compare insurance.

Is this site safe? Does the site protect my personal information? Is the privacy policy easy to find? Will this site bombard me with emails or share my details with other providers? Is this site recommended or verified by a regulator?.

The privacy policy includes a phone number for any queries and has an email address which can be used to opt out of being included in email marketing.
The nature of the site means that your data will be shared with third party insurance companies but they use SSL encryption technology to protect personal data.
