If you type in your state you are taken to a list of companies that operate in your area. We were given an impressively long list of local companies during our search.  To obtain an online insurance quote you need to visit each site and use the online tool of each.  There is no central comparison generated by ez-insuranceportal.com although it does give you a good starting point of local contacts.

How easy is it to navigate around the site? We tried and tested it out and graded..

The navigation is based around the different types of insurance on offer. Once you are in each section you can view guides and articles or use the tool to compare insurance quotes. The system is logical and works fine.  However, there is no site map, which is often used by viewers as a back up when they are not sure what they want or the navigation fails them.
In common with the text size used throughout the site, the navigational aids were too small and not bright enough (gray on white).

Just what can I compare here? This parameter evaluates the range of insurance policy comparisons on offer at this site..
The site offers insurance quotes in four areas; vehicle, homeowners, health and life.  However, we felt that the site lacked the choices that other rivals had; for example there was no option for rental insurance listed under the homeowners section and in the vehicle insurance there were just four vehicle types stated. The insurance companies they use do offer a broader range than this, so ez-insuranceportal.com could promote a wider range of services if it chose to.

Quality of the information. Here we look at the quality of the insurance information and articles on the website. Does the content give you a good breakdown about the cover? Is the language easy to follow?.

The site contains articles which are poorly presented in small text.  It is a shame because the articles themselves are informative and useful.  In addition this site does not contain the same quantity or articles as other sites and could do with more regular updates.

There is also another problem with the information content on ez-insuranceprotal.com; there is no articles index so you need to hop in and out of the individual insurance categories and are unable to browse generally.

Overall, these guys try hard but miss a trick or two.

Why is it different to other insurance sites? We graded on originality and innovation..
This site aspires to be a big shot.  However the overall impression we were left with is that it covers many areas too thinly, contains design gaffes and generally has a rather lazy, ‘can’t be bothered’ type of feel to it. If they want to be big they need to wake up and shake up.

There is a privacy policy which states that information is shared with third parties with your permission.  If you want to rescind this permission then you are able to do so. The site uses SSL encryption for the transfer of personal data.
