Back in 1931 Allstate started off as a vehicle insurance company that marketed by mail. We decided to check out how they operate as one of the modern day insurance companies who now operate with a broad range of policies over the net.

How easy is it to get an online quote? Here we evaluate how insurance quotes are given and the time it takes to get a quote..

The online quote form is well designed but perhaps slightly longer and slower than some of the other sites.

However, we were impressed that they automatically applied discounts to our quote based on the information we had input, which not all sites do.

We liked the fact that at each page it not only requested information but also told us for what purpose it was being collected. Overall, this is a transparent site with a great customer focus.
